We are delighted to confirm that The Sheppey Inn has once again been selected for inclusion in the prestigious Good Beer Guide 2026, compiled annually by the Campaign for Real Ale (CAMRA).

This recognition is a considerable honour, as entry into the Guide is not awarded based on reputation alone. It is determined by the meticulous and regular assessment of real ale quality by CAMRA’s independent membership. Our repeated inclusion is a testament to the dedication of our team in maintaining an immaculate cellar and upholding the highest standards of cask care.

While the Good Beer Guide focuses primarily on the excellence of the beer, we believe that The Sheppey Inn offers a holistic experience that justifies the journey to Lower Godney.

Situated within the distinctive landscape of the Somerset Levels, our venue provides a unique backdrop for enjoying some of the finest cask ales in the South West. We pride ourselves on a thoughtfully curated, rotating selection of beers, with a strong focus on showcasing exceptional offerings from local and independent West Country breweries.

The combination of critically acclaimed real ale, a dynamic menu of modern British cuisine prepared with local ingredients, and the distinctive character of our riverside setting, ensures The Sheppey Inn remains a landmark destination for discerning visitors.
